haha, i get your question, and i agree entirely! But, its really just a competition against companies, you have a great sony tv, but they think their Sumsung tv is better so they show it in their commercials. i really don’t believe it has anything to do with the customer, but they claim it is.

If they want to really get my attention, they should pay for things like a postcard, or have people payed to market their tv brand when you go to the stores or something.

but, you really had a great point, if your tv is bad and they want you to get a new one, don’t show it on my already bad tv!

They either want you to take their word for it, or for you to go look at it in a store, such as Best Buy.

they are meant to get you to remember the advert so say and advert will make you remember so say you want insurence you will rember that this was 4% cheaper than this

It’s marketing. They want you to get used to hearing their name, so when your TV breaks and you go out to buy a new one, you’ll think (even subconsciously), “Hey, it’s so-and-so TVs! These are supposed to be really good, and they’re really cheap.

It does make sense that they don’t work as far as making you want to go out and buy one right away, but they are supposed to make you get used to hearing the name so you think it’s a normal thing when you go and buy one. You won’t think it’s too far out to get an LCD or HDTV, or whatever those things you would have never heard of are.
