How much more energy does a Plasma TV consumer compared to a LCD TV? Everyone says Plasma consumes more energy than a LCD, (sausage machine) but by how much? Twice as much as a LCD? Newer versions of plasmas are now ‘Energy Certified”, does that mean they still consumer more energy than LCD, but overall, does not take that much compared to a traditional CRT TV?

1. 1080i TV, but with 1024×1080 max resolution
2. 720p TV, but with 1366×768 max resolution

720p HD signal translates into 1280×720 and 1080i (or p) translates into 1920×1080 resolution, so neither of the above examples match up perfectly. I know that the TV compensates for the differences between its native resolution and the HD resolution, but I’m not sure what would be better.

I wish more manufacturers matched their resolutions with HD resolutions better.

Also, I’ve read that 720p and 1080i are very close in quality but I think that means a 720p signal on a 720p TV -vs- 1080i signal on a 1080i TV. So the question is, which of the following is better?
1. a 1080i source on a 720p TV OR
2. a 720p source on a 1080i TV

I am trying to watch a movie on my tv that is stored on my pc. I do not have a DVD burner but I do have a CD burner. The movie has already been converted to DiVX but is still too large to fit on a CD-R. I have an S-Video output on my PC and an S-Video input on my TV. While setting up the movie I can see my desktop on the TV so I know it’s working. Once I start the movie I can see the movie on my PC but not on my TV, but I can still see my desktop elements on the TV. It is my guess that the video is playing back at over 450 lines of resolution which my PC can display with no problem but my TV can’t. How do I drop the resolution of the video down to 450 lines to show on my TV?

The tv is stuck on the AV1 position and I am not able to use the TV mode button on the tv to change it back to tv. A message pops up saying child lock and no other button works. I tried cutting off the tv and unplugging it, I also tried to push a couple of buttons in hopes that it was some type of reset programmed on the tv. If you have any suggestions on how to remove the child lock from the tv please email.
